Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring MD or compact RN license and recent Cath Lab/Interventional scrubbing experience.

Details

• Work in a unit with 2 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid OR
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Performs procedures including IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, Structural, PFO, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman
• Uses equipment such as GE Innova IGS, Phillips, GE MacLab, IVUS, and FFR
• EPIC charting system preferred
• Day shift, 4x10 hours, 6:30am-5:00pm, rotating days as needed Monday-Friday
• On-call required up to 13 weekdays as needed, 5pm-6am Monday-Thursday
• Weekend coverage required, inclusive of on-call Friday 5pm through Monday 6am (3 weekends per contract)
• Holiday coverage required, inclusive of on-call, as scheduled
• Floating required within scope with no restrictions

Requirements

• Active RN license, MD or Compact, required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab/Interventional scrubbing experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in professional knowledge areas including ACT, cardioversion, circulating procedures, sheath removal/monitoring, 12 lead EKG/ECG, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Experience with medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, and thrombolytics
• Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, left and right heart catheterization, and stent placement
• Experience with IV therapy, IV infusion pumps, and starting/maintaining IVs

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and hybrid OR settings
• Participate in electrophysiology procedures including LAA closure
• Must be comfortable floating within scope with no special scheduling requests accommodated
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
