Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13-26 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required. License: Must have an active license to apply. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS required. Must-Have: - Required work setting experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab. - Required cardiac Cath lab procedure skills include: - Cardiac Implant Closure Device - Cardiac Stent Placement - Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult - IABP Placement/Removal - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Left heart catheterization - Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) - Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) - Right heart catheterization - Rotablader atherectomy - Scrub procedures - Required procedural responsibility skills include: - Equipment setup - Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias - Required infection control skills include: - Isolation Precautions - Sterile Technique - Required age-specific competencies for middle and older adults. - Cerner experience is required. Description: Position is for a Cath Lab Tech working 3x12 hour days. Candidates will work 2-3 weekends per contract. On-call duty is required as needed and will rotate with staff. Candidates must be flexible based on census needs. First-timers are accepted for this position. Guaranteed hours may be affected by client call-offs. Candidates must discuss scheduling requests with the manager. Individuals must work within the scope of practice and may not float to meet facility needs. Candidates should be prepared for an orientation that includes completing assigned modules. All required modules must be completed on the first day. It is expected that candidates demonstrate compliance with clinical protocols and employment requirements.
