Required Cardiac Cath Lab Procedure Skills/Experience: - Cardiac Implant Closure Device - Cardiac Stent Placement - Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult - IABP Placement/Removal - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Left heart catheterization - Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) - Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) - Right heart catheterization - Rotablador atherectomy - Scrub Procedures Required Procedural Responsibility Skills/Experience: Equipment setup, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias. Required Infection Control Skills/Experience: Isolation Precautions, Sterile Technique. Required Age Specific Competencies: Middle and Older Adult. Cerner experience required. Description: The Cath Lab Tech position is responsible for assisting in cardiac procedures. This role requires performing various cardiac catheterization procedures. The tech will set up equipment and maintain a sterile environment. The position entails recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias during procedures. The candidate must have experience with both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Weekend work is required, with 2-3 weekends per contract. There is a rotating on-call requirement as needed. Candidates must be open to discussing schedule requests with management. Infection control protocols must be strictly followed. Candidates should have a solid understanding of working with adult and geriatric populations. Experience with Cerner charting is necessary.
