Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring open-heart and fresh post-surgical recovery experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac/Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• 18-week assignment length
• Floating required within the hospital based on patient care needs
• Travel pairs accepted

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 3 years of CCU/ICU experience required
• Open-heart surgery experience required
• Experience recovering fresh post-surgical cardiac patients required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, ventilator management, chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
• Experience with cardiac drips and vasoactive drip titration required
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead EKGs required
• Device experience with balloon pumps, Impella, or similar technology preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to patients recovering from open-heart surgery and other cardiac interventions
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no block schedules accepted
• All RTO requests must be finalized prior to consideration, with no changes allowed afterward
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local travelers
• Former facility staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
• Required orientation modules are completed and signed off by facility managers
