Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 12-week contract assignment in Orono, Maine. The CNA will support nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care within a skilled nursing environment.
This role requires excellent patient care skills, professionalism, and the ability to assist residents with daily living activities while ensuring safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Support patient mobility, transfers, and repositioning
Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Document patient care accurately and timely
Collaborate with nurses and healthcare teams to ensure quality care
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Ensure patient dignity, comfort, and well-being at all times
Requirements
Active CNA certification required
Minimum 6 12 months CNA experience preferred
Current BLS certification preferred
Ability to work day shifts and full-time schedules
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must comply with facility health and safety requirements
Valid government-issued photo identification required
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required
