Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADL performance, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, safety awareness, and overall independence.
- Accurately document treatments using electronic medical records in accordance with Medicare, state, and facility standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and discharge planning.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and functional strategies.
- Participate in care conferences and team meetings as appropriate.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current California COTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to complete documentation in Net Health per facility standards.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility setting.
- Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, or medically complex patient populations.
