Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Sidney, IA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | Monday through Friday | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatment to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans to help patients improve daily living and functional skills
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility standards
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
- Active COTA licensure or certification in the state of Iowa or eligibility for reciprocity
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current NBCOT certification
- Ability to meet a 35-hour weekly guarantee
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a similar clinical or rehabilitation setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and care teams
