Key Responsibilities- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes
- Perform a variety of imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy
- Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
- Utilize PACS and teleradiology systems to accurately transfer images to appropriate locations
- Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information while adhering to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory
Required Qualifications- ARRT certification: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) required
- Active Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in California required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Fluoroscopy license required in California if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture (IV) certification required in California if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in CT or related imaging field
Preferred Experience / Skills- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Advanced certification in CT modality
- Experience with PACS and teleradiology systems
- Experience providing care for patients ranging from adolescence through geriatric populations
