Job Details
Position: CT Technologist
Location: Port Huron
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening Shift
Schedule: 5×8
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2500 to $2700
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
Prepare patients for CT examinations by reviewing medical history, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Administer contrast media safely while monitoring patients for adverse reactions
Operate CT scanners and imaging equipment while maintaining image quality standards
Evaluate completed images for diagnostic quality before submission for radiologist interpretation
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS
Follow radiation safety standards, infection prevention guidelines, and departmental policies
Perform routine equipment quality control and report maintenance concerns as needed
Provide compassionate care during both routine and emergency imaging procedures
Requirements
Active Michigan Radiologic Technologist License (if required by state regulations)
ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred or required by the facility
Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
Current BLS Certification required
Experience performing a broad range of CT procedures in an acute care hospital
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, contrast administration, and radiation safety
Experience using PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
Ability to work efficiently during evening shifts in a fast-paced imaging department
