Perform complex CT procedures, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for radiologist interpretation and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures
Review patient clinical history, prepare and screen contrast questionnaires, and document all relevant information into PACS and EPIC
Identify and/or administer contrast media as prescribed; verify exam prescriptions for appropriateness and communicate with radiologists and referring physicians as needed
Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures per established guidelines; monitor patients for adverse reactions throughout the procedure
Evaluate radiographs using the PACS system to ensure proper identification and diagnostic quality
Prepare patients for scanning including shielding and immobilization, and provide clear explanations and instructions tailored to patient comprehension level
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program; high school diploma or equivalent required
NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required
ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required (must be obtained within three months of hire if not already held)
Must achieve ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire date if not already held
Thorough knowledge of PACS systems and CT software/hardware; strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning
Preferred Experience / Skills
Minimum six months of CT experience preferred
ARRT Certified R.T. (CT) license preferred
Knowledge of Epic and/or other HIS/RIS systems
