Key Responsibilities

Operate CT scanners to obtain diagnostic images of specified body parts, producing quality images for radiologist interpretation with minimal supervision.
Greet patients, verify identity, obtain pertinent patient history, review orders, current medications, allergy information, and completed questionnaires.
Position patients, perform scans, and archive procedures according to established protocols within quality control parameters.
Utilize proper venipuncture techniques and administer contrast media per established protocol or physician direction; reconcile patient medications to prevent contrast interactions.
Apply appropriate radiation reduction techniques to protect patients, self, and all personnel from radiation exposure, including proper dosimeter use.
Assist co-workers across modalities as appropriate, including IV starts, patient preparation, and computer functions; assist physicians with invasive procedures as applicable.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT certification required.
Ohio License as Radiographer required.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation techniques, and sterile procedures.
Proficiency in patient positioning and imaging equipment operation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

Minimum 2 years of related CT technologist experience.
ARRT (CT) advanced certification preferred.
