**Exciting Opportunity for CT Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Are you ready to take your career to the next level as a Cat Scan Technologist? - Perform complex CT procedures that create critical images for medical interpretation. - Utilize your professional judgment to gather and document patients' clinical histories. - Prepare and screen contrast questionnaires, ensuring accuracy while scanning into EPIC. - Identify and administer contrast media for CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners. - Collaborate with Radiologists and referring physicians to verify exam appropriateness. - Communicate directly with physicians to clarify prescriptions based on CT protocols. - Ensure insurance authorization for exams is verified and assist with necessary modifications. - Obtain and schedule outside studies, making them accessible for Radiologists in PACS. - Provide exam copies to patients and their physicians or family members. - Evaluate radiographs in the PACS System for proper identification and diagnostic value. - Collect relevant information from medical records and health care providers for patient safety. - Prepare patients for scanning, including shielding and immobilization devices. - Determine the appropriate type and dose of contrast to administer. - Offer clear explanations and instructions to patients, addressing any questions or concerns. - Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures with precision. - Monitor patient conditions for adverse reactions during procedures. - Commit to scheduled shifts, including weekends, while ensuring the highest quality of patient care. - Embrace the opportunity for growth, supported by adherence to organizational competencies and standards. - Lift a minimum of 25 lbs, push/pull 50 lbs, and stand for 6 hours daily. - Adapt care delivery to meet the diverse needs of the patient population. **Required Skills & Experience:** - In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning. - Strong understanding of CT software and hardware mechanics. - Expertise in using the PACS system. - Continued Education Units (CEUs) maintained. - ARRT (CT) certification achieved within the first 12 months of hire. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association obtained within 3 months of hire. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - Preferably six months of CT experience. - Familiarity with Epic and any relevant HIS/RIS systems. **Education Requirements:** - Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. - High school diploma or equivalent. **Certifications & Licenses Required:** - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) License. - BLS Certification from the American Heart Association. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
