### Exciting Opportunity for a Cat Scan Technologist! **Job Description:** - Join our dynamic team as a Cat Scan Technologist and play a vital role in providing exceptional imaging services that enhance patient care. - **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform complex CT procedures with precision and professionalism. - Use your judgement to review and obtain patients' clinical histories, ensuring accurate documentation in PACS. - Prepare, screen, and review contrast questionnaires with patients and family members. - Administer contrast media as prescribed by licensed practitioners. - Verify the appropriateness of exam prescriptions with Radiologists and Referring Physicians. - Communicate effectively with physicians for prescription clarifications and ensure proper protocols are followed. - Manage insurance verifications and modifications to ensure seamless patient care. - Retrieve and schedule outside studies to ensure comprehensive diagnostics. - Provide exam copies to patients and referring physicians as needed. - Evaluate radiographs for identification accuracy and diagnostic value. - Gather patient information effectively to prepare scanning protocols tailored to patient needs. - Prepare patients for scanning, ensuring proper shielding and immobilization. - Determine the appropriate type and dose of contrast for examinations. - Deliver clear explanations and instructions to patients regarding procedures. - Perform venipuncture and ensure IV patency as per established guidelines. - Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during procedures. - Commit to scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays. - Adapt care delivery to the diverse needs of the patient population, ensuring effective communication. - Uphold the highest standards of behavior and professionalism. - **Required Skills & Experience:** - Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic positioning. - Familiarity with CT software and hardware mechanics. - Proficient in PACS system operations. - Commitment to maintaining CEU credits and professional development. - Obtain ARRT (CT) certification within the first twelve months and BLS certification within the first three months. - **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - Six months of prior CT experience is a plus. - Knowledge of Epic and other HIS/RIS systems is ideal. - **Educational Requirements:** - Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. - High school diploma or equivalent. - **Certifications & Licensure:** - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license is required. - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
