Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position at a busy Level 1 Trauma academic medical center requiring strong critical care experience and recent ECMO experience.

Details

• Acute care setting in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVCC) unit
• Patient population includes open heart surgery, transplant, and AAA cases
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) on an every-other-weekend (EOW) schedule
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Floating required
• No self-scheduling; flexibility with scheduling required
• Level 1 Trauma, busy/large academic medical center setting

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, though 3+ years preferred
• Strong critical care experience in a major academic medical center required
• Recent ECMO experience required
• CRRT experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a high-volume hospital setting strongly preferred
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients including open heart surgery, transplant, and AAA cases
• Work within a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center environment
• Candidates must be flexible with scheduling as self-scheduling is not permitted
• Candidates previously employed directly (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible
• Candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
