Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN with strong cardiovascular device management skills for a night shift position requiring a Minnesota RN license.

Details

• CVICU setting within a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level III Trauma hospital
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• Works every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Expected to float within ICU community including CVICU, Med/Surg ICU, and Neuro ICU
• Uses Epic/Excellian charting system

Requirements

• Active MN RN license (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with PA catheter interpretation and analysis required
• Experience with LVAD/RVAD, Impella, and IABP required
• Experience with CRRT (Prismaflex) and ECMO preferred
• Proficiency with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and targeted temperature management required
• Experience with bedside trachs and PEGs, temporary pacemakers, and Centra Mag preferred
• Experience with Heart Mate 2 & 3 preferred
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• Must provide date of birth, SSN, copy of certifications, Nursys verification, and RTO at time of consideration
• At least one supervisor reference required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care setting, including post-cardiac surgery recovery direct from OR
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility for consideration unless applying for a radiology position
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
• Former Allina perm staff must have a 3-month gap since their last shift to be eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Allina does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
