Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU/Stepdown position requiring IL licensure and prior critical care nursing experience.

Details

• CV Stepdown unit providing care to post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients
• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (1900-0730)
• 36 hours per week
• 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage via department rotation
• EPIC EMR charting required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temp license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association required
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and nursing interventions for CVICU patients
• Perform hourly rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and contribute to peer professional development
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
• Report or correct safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days during the 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning to this health system
