Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with one evening shift mid-week)
Key Responsibilities
Assess patients' nutritional status and develop individualized medical nutrition therapy care plans for both inpatient and outpatient pediatric populations
Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and caregivers, including facilitation of group classes related to healthy eating and weight management
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds with medical, nursing, and rehabilitation staff to coordinate and implement nutrition care plans
Document assessments, recommendations, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record in accordance with facility policy
Support complex inpatient diagnoses including TPN, short gut syndrome, GI complications, post-trauma recovery, and tube-fed infant populations transitioning to oral feeds
Provide nutrition support across outpatient programs including feeding clinics, nutritional rehabilitation, and individual nutrition appointments
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (candidates who passed the CDR exam prior to 1/1/2024 may qualify with a Bachelor's degree along with required coursework and completed Dietetic Internship)
Successful completion of a Dietetic Internship and passing of the CDR exam
Active Maryland Dietitian licensure
Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Minimum of 2 years of pediatric dietitian experience
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working with complex pediatric diagnoses including TPN management, short gut syndrome, and GI-related nutritional challenges
Experience in outpatient pediatric nutrition programs, including weight management and feeding clinics
Comfort working within an interdisciplinary team environment across both inpatient and ambulatory care settings
