Candidates should have experience with Samsung Hera W10 fetal cardiac systems. The role requires in-depth training, which will be provided. The sonographer will utilize high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis. This professional level of health care requires highly skilled and competent individuals. The sonographer will produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data used by physicians for medical diagnosis. They must acquire and maintain specialized technical skills and medical knowledge to provide quality care. Job responsibilities include performing fetal echocardiograms. This involves obtaining, reviewing, and consolidating pertinent patient history and clinical data for diagnostic results. The sonographer must provide interpreting physicians with an oral summary of diagnostic results. They will prepare the patient for the examination by explaining the procedure. Differentiate between artifacts and normal or pathological processes and recognize the limitations of the exam. Utilize 2D optimization and 3D manipulation techniques with ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic information. Report and analyze exam results by providing an oral summary of findings to the interpreting physician. The sonographer will analyze data, provide a preliminary written report, and review results with reading faculty for final interpretation. Collaboration is essential; the sonographer will share knowledge and provide technical support to team members. They may assist with teaching interns, visitors, and new staff. They will collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and surgical teams to provide diagnostic imaging and guidance during fetal surgical procedures. Participation in clinical research related to prenatal cardiovascular disease may be required. The sonographer will measure and analyze echocardiographic data for research projects. They may prepare and present findings in selected forums and scientific reports. The role may involve assisting with surgical procedures as needed, utilizing sterile technique.
