Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide observation-level nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an Emergency Department Observation Unit setting with an expected patient ratio of 1:5
• Perform cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring
• Manage central lines, peripheral lines, PICC lines, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV insertion and maintenance
• Administer and monitor heparin protocols and non-titratable cardiac drips; support pre/post hemodialysis and renal failure patients
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activations; provide CVA care and temporary/permanent pacemaker management
• Float within the hospital within scope of practice based on facility needs; maintain compliance with isolation precautions, PPE, and wound/wound vac care protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of RN experience required
• Valid Maryland RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong cardiac telemetry and observation-level nursing experience required
• Proficiency in Cerner electronic health records system required
• Willingness to float within the hospital within scope of practice
• Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ER holding experience preferred
• PCU or step-down unit experience preferred
• First-time travel nursing candidates are accepted
