Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• 55-bed Emergency Department-Trauma unit
• 13-week assignment with a shift schedule of 11:00-23:30
• Uses Epic for charting
• Navy scrubs required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS and PALS certification (AHA) preferred
• TNCC, NRP, NIH Stroke Scale, and Ascension CPI certifications preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care following established ED policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient conditions
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
