Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring AZ or compact RN license and 2+ years of ED experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a 38-bed facility
• Level III Trauma Center with Stroke Receiving and STEMI Receiving designations
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (3x12s)
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Must be willing to float
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction/supervision to assigned personnel
• Black scrub color dress code
• NIH Stroke Scale certification recommended but not required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible if previously worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
