Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring TNCC certification and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 19-bed Emergency Department at a hospital's main building
• Night shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 1 triage nurse, 4 bedside RNs, 1 HUC, and 1 tech
• Patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
• Uses Philips monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A night shift schedule
• Rotating weekends required with no on-call obligations
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform emergency care procedures including tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care
• Royal Blue scrub color required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Positive, team-oriented culture fit preferred
