Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for an evening shift contract requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Room department of a hospital setting
• 12-hour evening shifts, 3:00p-3:00a
• Rotating weekend requirements
• Holiday coverage required as needed per department scheduling, with a minimum of 3 shifts between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements
• 8-week contract length

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• American Heart Association certifications preferred; American Red Cross accepted for BLS
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required, 4+ years preferred
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• New graduates will not be considered
• Must complete an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment

Additional Information

• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 12 months to be considered as a travel candidate
• RTO for 8-week contracts limited to a maximum of 3 days
• Facility conducts a brief interview of approximately 10-15 minutes as part of the hiring process
• 2x12 hour orientation shifts required
