Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for an evening shift contract requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Room department of a hospital setting
• 12-hour evening shifts from 3:00pm-3:00am
• Rotating weekend requirements
• Holiday coverage required per department scheduling, with a minimum of 3 shifts between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day
• No floating or on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required; 4+ years preferred
• New graduates will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge in the applicable specialty area, dated within the last year
• At least one travel reference preferred
• Copies of certifications and license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care across a variety of patient cases
• Must complete an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• On Day 1 of orientation, must pass an onsite EKG test to continue the assignment; a study guide will be provided in advance
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away from the facility for 12 months to be eligible as a travel candidate
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract
• A brief interview (10-15 minutes) with the hospital is required as part of the hiring process
