Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NM or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Level III trauma center ED with 48 beds and flex space
• Team nursing and Pod System with dedicated social worker and unit educator support
• Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
• Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric cases
• Common diagnoses include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
• Equipment used includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7P to 7A
• Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (must be from AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with ED experience preferred
• Required education: RN ADN
• Must have skills in trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation care

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
• Work alongside an Interim ED Manager and Clinical Coordinator with dedicated social work and educator support
• Facility is a Level III trauma center that receives Trauma Level I, II, and III cases via air transport
