Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a fast-paced trauma bay assignment requiring bedside trauma care and a DC RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting treating patients across urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma populations
• Bedside trauma RN role in the trauma room with 1:5 patient ratios
• 3x12-hour day shifts
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Critical care skills required including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC required, no pending licenses accepted
• Required certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of ED experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner experience required
• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the specialty area required
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs, ensuring safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
