Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring IL RN licensure and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Flexible/rotating weekend and holiday shifts
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• TNCC, TNS, or TCRN certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions for ED patients
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care
• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by identifying and reporting hazards
• Offer constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Prior Carle Health contingent workers must have completed a 6-month break in service if previously on assignment for 1 year
