Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• 12-hour night shifts from 3:00PM-3:00AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend shift requirement
• Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers and families
• Implement nursing interventions and modify care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Promote staff and patient safety by identifying and reporting hazards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days during the 13-week contract
• Contingent workers limited to 1 year of continuous assignment before requiring a 6-month break in service
