Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Illinois RN licensure, EPIC charting experience, and trauma unit background.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with expectation of onsite arrival within one hour
• 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers
• No block scheduling available
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Trauma Level 2 experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers and families
• Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote patient and staff safety
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Assignment length of 13 weeks
• This is a high-risk department designation for Emergency Department
