Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Specialty: Emergency Room / ED Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant RN experience EMR: EPIC Trauma: Level II or higher preferred
Job Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and providers.
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to orders and protocols.
Continuously evaluate patients and modify the plan of care as needed.
Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in EPIC.
Follow ED-specific nursing procedures, standards, and protocols.
Promote patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with providers, nurses, patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Provide constructive feedback and support the professional development of colleagues.
Maintain required departmental competencies and stay current with nursing practices.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
ASN required
Illinois RN License in good standing
BLS – AHA
ACLS – AHA
PALS – AHA
EPIC experience required
Preferred
BSN
TNCC – Highly Preferred
Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher

Med Ninjas Job ID #16291. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
