Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN with a California RN license and ACLS certification for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• 12-hour overnight shifts from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of recent full-time equivalent ED experience within the last 3 years
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) required, or must obtain within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) accepted in lieu of ENPC if obtained within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
• CEN and TNCC certifications preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate preferred
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Licenses and certifications must be active at time of consideration; pending credentials not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a range of acute and critical patient presentations
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates
• Travelers may not exceed two years of cumulative assignment time without a 90-day break in service
• Former permanent staff must be separated from employment for 6 months to be eligible for a travel assignment
