Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) position in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care ED experience and active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) setting in Denver, CO
• 11-bed unit staffed with 2 RNs per shift, 1 MD, 1 radiology tech, and 1 security guard — all 24/7
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Equipment includes GE monitors and Baxter pumps
• EMR: Meditech
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Willingness to float between ED departments is preferred

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and TNCC
• CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ED RN experience required
• Ability to work night shift required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Typical procedures include EKGs, IV placement, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care
• ER charge RN experience is preferred
• Ideal candidate is positive, flexible, and a strong team player
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible; 2 years of clinical experience is required per HCA Far West regional standards for this facility
