Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NM or compact RN license and 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Level III trauma center emergency department serving the Four Corners region
• 48-bed unit with flex space, utilizing a Team Nursing and Pod System
• Patient ratios of 4:1 in the Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
• Diverse adult patient population including ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric cases
• Common diagnoses include CHF, abdominal pain, chest pain, and substance abuse disorders
• Utilizes Zoll defibrillators, Level One blood transfuser, QinFlow blood warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC devices, and ultrasound-guided IV equipment
• Cerner EHR system used for charting
• Mid shifts available including 10A-10P, 12P-12A, and 3P-3A rotations
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Minimum of two weekends required per schedule
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Social worker and unit educator assigned to support the department
