Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NM or compact RN license and mid-shift availability at a Level III trauma center.

Details

  • Work in a 48-bed Emergency Department with flex space at a Level III trauma center
  • Utilizes team nursing and a pod system, with a dedicated social worker and unit educator supporting the department
  • Patient ratios are 4:1 in the Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
  • Cares for adult patient population including ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric conditions
  • Uses equipment including Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC devices, and ultrasound-guided IV
  • Documents in Cerner EHR
  • Mid shifts available: 10A-10P, 12P-12A, or 3P-3A
  • Minimum of two weekend shifts required per schedule
  • No call requirements
  • No floating requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NM or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
  • RN ADN education required
  • Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
  • Skilled in managing common diagnoses including ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain

  • Work at a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
  • Facility offers services including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care, plus a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, and day surgery center
  • Provide direct emergency care within a team nursing and pod system structure
  • Supported by a dedicated social worker and unit educator
