Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5+ years of ED experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

• 31-bed Emergency Department with 2 triage rooms, including 7 beds utilized for Behavioral Health or Acute patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4, with exceptions during high-volume periods or when patients await transport/admission
• Serves all patient age groups, from pediatric to geriatric
• Primarily uses MedHost EHR for ED documentation, with Meditech used for admit holds and extended behavioral health stays
• 13-week night shift assignment, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Rotating weekends as needed
• Floating required as needed
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 5 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS or ENPC
• Handle with Care certification required, available on-site

• Located at a 250-bed academic community hospital with comprehensive surgical services and 24-hour ED services
• Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
• Professional, positive, compassionate, and team-oriented personality encouraged
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Candidates must consent to random onsite drug screening and complete a criminal questionnaire
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel pay
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
