Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a fast-paced freestanding ED requiring TNCC and NIH Stroke certification along with a KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Freestanding Emergency Department with 52 beds
• Staffing includes charge nurse, nurses, tech, unit clerk, physician, and midlevel provider per pod on both day and night shifts
• Patient ratios average 3:1, with low acuity at 5:1 and team nursing for pediatric patients
• Performs procedures such as IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
• Uses Alaris infusion pumps
• Utilizes Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a)

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of current Emergency Department RN experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke, PALS, and TNCC
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSNs accepted)

Additional Information

• Fast-paced ED environment requiring adaptability and quick learning
• Candidates with large facility or 52+ bed ED experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Strong patient experience focus valued
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
