Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and at least 2 prior travel contracts.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
  • Every other weekend or based on department needs, with every other holiday rotating with regular staff
  • Cares for critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patient populations
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • May require floating onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed

Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
  • At least 2 prior travel contracts required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA required)
  • TNCC certification preferred, renewed every 4 years
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
  • Experience caring for critical care patients while maintaining sound clinical judgment and documentation
  • Strong team collaboration and clear, timely communication skills
  • Ability to appropriately escalate concerns and seek support to ensure patient safety
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to ED patients across critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric populations
  • Collaborate closely with the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment and communication
  • Escalate patient safety concerns promptly and seek support as needed
  • Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for candidates living near the facility
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
