Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and at least 2 prior travel contracts.

Details

  • Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
  • Cares for a diverse patient population including critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patients
  • Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
  • 13-week contract
  • Every other weekend (EOW) or based on department needs
  • Holiday rotation shared with regular staff
  • Floating may be required within skill set, including to sites within 40 miles
  • Epic EMR used

Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
  • At least 2 prior travel contracts required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all must be AHA-issued)
  • TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • MOAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) certification required
  • Experience caring for critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patient populations
  • Candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
  • Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsible for delivering safe, high-quality emergency nursing care with sound clinical judgment and thorough documentation
  • Must demonstrate strong team collaboration skills with clear and timely communication, including appropriate escalation of patient safety concerns
  • Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on distance from the facility
