Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, at least 2 prior travel contracts, and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract
- Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
- Patient population includes critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patients
- Epic EMR experience required
- Every other weekend (EOW) required, or as needed based on department needs
- Holiday rotation shared with regular staff
- Floating may be required within skill set to onsite units or to facilities within a 40-mile radius
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
- At least 2 prior travel nursing contracts required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all must be AHA-issued)
- TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A renewed yearly; Groups B–F renewed every 2 years)
- Experience caring for critical care patients with sound clinical judgment and documentation practices
- Ability to care for psychiatric and pediatric patient populations
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Two professional references required
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides emergency nursing care across a diverse patient population including critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patients
- Must demonstrate strong team collaboration skills with clear and timely communication, and appropriately escalate concerns to ensure patient safety
- MOAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) certification is optional but encouraged; online training resources are available
- Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- COVID vaccination is not required
