Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience, Epic proficiency, and a CA RN license.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital in Marysville, CA
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week
- Patient population spans all age groups including neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
- Epic EMR used; experience required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license, unrestricted and currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
- TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire
- Minimum 3 years of ED nursing experience required, with work in the specialty within the last 3 months
- Epic EMR experience required
- Demonstrated competency in IV sedation required within 6 months of hire
- Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia recognition required
- Clean, unrestricted license history required — candidates with a prior license hit will not be considered
- BSN preferred
- Two supervisor references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years
- Specialty-specific skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
- MICN and CEN certifications preferred
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients per shift, delivering care consistent with the medical plan and nursing process
- Collaborates with physicians and the broader healthcare team to coordinate patient care delivery
- Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan
- Delegates appropriate aspects of care to other nursing staff based on competence and scope of practice
- This position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract — candidates with more than 5 days of RTO will not be considered
