Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a compact state
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience or related acute care experience
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current TNCC certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments according to established ER nursing protocols
• Monitor patients for changes in condition, medication effectiveness, and side effects
• Document patient histories, symptoms, interventions, and ongoing care accurately and thoroughly
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on care plans, discharge instructions, and available resources
• Support a collaborative healthcare team while delivering care to complex and high-acuity patients
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing professional development as required
