Job Summary: Emergency Room Nurse in Hopewell, Virginia. The organization is seeking a qualified ER nurse to provide compassionate and efficient patient care during night shifts at a 22-bed emergency department. This position requires a professional approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts totaling 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/31/2026
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS & CPI certifications; relevant nursing degree; Virginia state nursing license; at least 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience, TNCC certification, Meditech electronic medical record experience
Float: Float rotation may be required to our FSED (approximately 15 minutes away)
Additional Information: The ER unit has approximately 50 staff members, including nurses, technicians, and support staff. Unit equipment includes Phillips & GE monitors and Level 1 Rapid Infuser. Procedures performed include IV insertions, cardiac monitoring, central line placements, cardioversion, and protocols for stroke and sepsis. Candidate fit emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and patient-centered care.
