Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. The position provides nursing care in a high-volume adult emergency department within a healthcare provider. The assignment requires flexibility, trauma center experience, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 36 hours per week, with variable days. Weekends and holidays are required, and block scheduling is not available.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience; minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience; recent experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center; the most recent 12 months must include experience at an academic medical center or a Level I or Level II Trauma Center in a major metropolitan area; Florida Registered Nurse license or Compact Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Additional Information: The 13-week assignment includes specialty-specific competency and electrocardiogram testing, including rhythm mapping and interpretation. A minimum score of 80% is required on each exam, with 100% identification of lethal rhythms required regardless of the overall electrocardiogram score. Additional remedial training may be required for candidates who do not meet the electrocardiogram competency requirement.
