Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Job Summary:
An Emergency Room Nurse position is available at a prominent healthcare facility located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and possess the necessary certifications and experience to meet the demands of this specialized environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Asheville, North Carolina
  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Start Date: 07/13/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; at least 2 years of nursing experience, including a minimum of 1 year in an Emergency Department setting; 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center with an annual ED volume of 100,000 visits; previous experience in a high-volume emergency environment preferred; experience with Cerner electronic medical record system; certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 90 days of hire; flexibility to work in all areas of the ED; teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with HCA healthcare experience preferred.
  • Float: No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating within various sections of the ED.
  • Additional Information: The department is recognized for teamwork and a welcoming atmosphere. Staff enjoy serving a multicultural community with over 120 languages spoken in the area.
  • Certifications upon start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire).
