Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department treating both pediatric and adult populations, including Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma patients
  • Manage and monitor common vasoactive and sedation drips including Nicardipine, Propofol, Fentanyl, Norepinephrine, Nitroglycerin, Versed, and Precedex
  • Read and interpret cardiac monitor telemetry using SpaceLabs monitoring systems
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, APPs, CNAs, Respiratory Therapy, and Radiology within a 45-bed department
  • Care for patients across varying acuity levels including ESI Level I; stabilize and facilitate transfer of pediatric patients as needed
  • Adhere to nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 and support department operations across assigned shift start times with minimum weekend and holiday requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience, preferably from a larger urban hospital setting
  • Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and ENPC certifications required
  • Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitor telemetry independently
  • Proficiency with high-acuity patient care and common ED drip management

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior trauma experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
  • Experience in a Trauma Level III or higher designated facility
