Care for ICU patients including CABG, CVA, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral brain hemorrhage, GI bleeds, DKA, STEMI, septic shock, overdose, respiratory failure, neurosurgery, and open heart cases; trauma, burn, and transplant patients are not seen on this unit. The unit is supported by charge nurses on each unit who do not routinely take patient assignments, as well as resource nurses, hospitalists, and intensivists available in-house around the clock.
