Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. The position provides comprehensive nursing care across pediatric through geriatric populations, including systematic assessment, emergency clinical interventions, documentation, patient education, and perioperative support. The role requires competent emergency equipment and procedure knowledge, strong safety practices, and collaboration with patients, families, and the care team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for pediatric Emergency Room assignments
  • At least 1 year of experience in Critical Care, Cardiac, or the Emergency Department
  • Pediatric experience
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelors degree in nursing
• Additional Information:
  • Performs comprehensive assessments and delivers age-appropriate care from pediatric through geriatric populations.
  • Provides direct patient care and demonstrates competency with emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Maintains complete and accurate documentation, including patient education and progress toward outcomes.
  • Supports pre-operative and postoperative assessment, education, and care for surgical patients.
  • Evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for completeness and appropriateness based on the proposed procedure, patient age, and current health status.
  • Applies National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, patient identification procedures, safe transfer techniques, and proper body mechanics.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and promotes a professional, patient-centered care environment.
  • Availability to work some upcoming holidays is required.
