Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room, Gainesville, Florida. This 13-week travel assignment is for an emergency department registered nurse supporting multiple emergency department locations within the organization. The role includes night shifts, weekend and holiday coverage, emergency care responsibilities, and adherence to required clinical testing and vaccination standards.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekends and holidays are required, and block scheduling is not available.
• Required Qualifications: 23 years of registered nurse experience with prior travel experience; Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; an active Florida or compact nursing license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Emergency department experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Additional Information:
  • The registered nurse may float between multiple emergency department locations.
  • New registered nurse hires must pass a specialty knowledge assessment and an electrocardiogram (EKG) test, including cardiac rhythm mapping and interpretation.
  • Ability to identify lethal cardiac rhythms is required, with additional remedial training provided when necessary.
  • Influenza vaccination is mandatory, and proof must be provided before compliance clearance. The only accepted exemption is a physicians note documenting a reaction to the vaccine.
  • Assignment coverage includes required weekends and holidays, with blackout dates around specified holidays.
  • The assignment is scheduled to begin 12/14/2026 and end 03/13/2027.
