Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Tehachapi, California. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in an emergency setting, supervising and directing nursing staff, and ensuring quality care through the nursing process. The role requires collaboration and critical thinking within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from approved vendor; AHA-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from approved vendor; AHA-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from approved vendor; minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency care.
Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an acute care facility.
Additional Information: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops and implements care plans, collaborates with the healthcare team, and participates in discharge planning. Performs delegated duties and contributes to a safe, healing environment. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
