Job Summary

Emergency Room. This position provides care to patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced emergency setting. Responsibilities include assessment and treatment of emergency department diagnoses, collaboration with interdisciplinary support services, and management of complex clinical conditions.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), MAB, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; experience with electronic charting systems required, including Epic.
• Additional Information: Patient ratios are 1:4. Patient care may include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with emergency department diagnoses. Clinical responsibilities include BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous intravenous sedation, intracranial pressure monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and personal protective equipment, intravenous vasopressors, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. The position includes a 12-hour orientation and no on-call requirement.
